8:30 off the dock on our way to Elizabeth City. We passed on the Welcome Center as we just wanted to get there and had another lock and bridge to go thru. Was maybe 6 or 7 in our little train. Swamp was 9 to 12 ft deep in most places. Stormed pretty good last night. Had tornados in Cape Hatteras, where Will and Linda were, scary but they are OK. Crossed into NC at 11:15. Made Elizabeth City at 6pm. Had to wait for an hour for the bridge, the bridge guy was not very pleasant. So docked in the dark, at Wharf’s Marina, it’s free and a city dock but with pelican poles, in the wind AARRRGGGHHH! Met up with JJ, Jim and Joey from when we were in Annapolis! We are all here waiting for another storm to make the Albermarle Sound crossing.
