It’s summertime now here in northern Wisconsin! We have finally wrapped up all of our projects with getting our new radar and instruments installed, and getting the mast up and all of the wiring connected.  The good news is everything works!  All lights, horn, radar, instruments and sensors are doing their thing and work perfectly. We got Wandering Toes (and Baby Toe) out on the water for her first sail over the 4th of July weekend and had wonderful weather. We met friends out in the Apostle Islands and were able to anchor together and visit and we had a great time. We were even able to participate in a rescue mission of sorts and bring a new starter battery to our friends Dave and Leslie on Gypsy Spirit who are still working out the quirks of their new boat and making it theirs.

In part 2 of our spring boat projects series we tackle more challenging boat projects. We get our boat cover removed and the boat gets put into the water for the season. We get our new radar installed on the mast and get the mast stepped onto the boat. We continue the massive project of rewiring all the new instruments and equipment and find things that have broken over the winter. Stay tuned for Part 3 of our spring boat projects series where we get all these projects finished and give you a stunning view of the marina from the top of the mast!
